Iran is pro­vi­ding mate­ri­al sup­port for attacks on Ame­ri­can tro­ops. We will dis­rupt the attacks on our forces. We’ll inter­rupt the flow of sup­port from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and des­troy the net­works pro­vi­ding advan­ced wea­pon­ry and trai­ning to our enemies in Iraq.

Eine Armee besetzt ein frem­des Land. Dar­auf­hin unter­stützt ein drit­tes Land, Geg­ner der Inva­so­ren, die loka­len Rebel­len mit Waf­fen. Ja, das ken­nen wir doch irgend­wo her. Tat­säch­lich hat die US-Regie­rung damals in Afgha­ni­stan die Rebel­len im Kampf gegen die Sowjets unter­stützt, zum Bei­spiel mit Stin­ger-Luft­ab­wehr­ra­ke­ten:

Ter­ro­ris­ten mit Waf­fen aus­zu­stat­ten war den USA damals jedoch nicht genug:

3 Mil­li­ar­den Dol­lar beka­men die­se Rebel­len, heu­te bes­ser bekannt als al Qai­da, aus den USA. Ja, das sind genau die Rebel­len, wegen denen in Afgha­ni­stan über­haupt heu­te noch Krieg herrscht.

Die USA wer­den in Afgha­ni­stan, und nun auch im Irak Opfer ihrer eige­nen Stra­te­gien und Waffen.

Hin­zu kommt: Wer glaubt denn heu­te noch an die Echt­heit even­tu­el­ler Geheim­dienst­fo­tos der USA? Wir wis­sen ja bereits, dass CIA und Co. nicht zögern, im Zwei­fels­fall Bewei­se zu fälschen.
